Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Use PageJoy only with files and information you have permission to handle. Do not use the tools to harm people, break the law or interfere with the service.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to use of PageJoy PDF, PageJoy Templates and PageJoy Photo on pagejoy.app and in our ChatGPT and Claude integrations. We are PageJoy. Contact us at support@pagejoy.app.
Read this policy with our Terms of Service. It describes misuse rules. It does not give us permission to inspect files that remain in your browser or to keep plugin files after processing.
2. Use material lawfully
Only use a file or personal data if you have authority to do so. Respect copyright, confidentiality, privacy and other people's rights. A file belonging to a client or employer may need their permission even if you can open it.
Do not use the tools to:
- Create a false invoice, receipt, identity record or other document for deception or fraud.
- Add another person's signature without authority, or falsely claim a signature has been verified.
- Remove or change information to mislead a person, court, regulator or business.
- Process or distribute material that is unlawful, including child sexual abuse material.
- Harass, threaten, exploit or unlawfully discriminate against another person.
- Obtain personal data by deception or use it for unlawful surveillance.
Legitimate editing, privacy protection and redaction remain allowed. The purpose and context matter. Nothing in this policy stops lawful whistleblowing, reporting a crime, seeking legal advice or exercising a protected right.
3. Protect the service
Do not access another person's account without permission. Do not introduce malware, steal sign-in details, exploit a vulnerability to harm someone, or interfere with availability.
Do not falsify free-use counts or billing information to obtain paid access without paying. Do not create misleading locations or identities to bypass transaction restrictions. Do not use automated requests in a way that disrupts the tools or other customers' access.
The open-source licences may permit acts involving particular components, including modification or reverse engineering. This policy does not take away those licence rights or any statutory right.
4. Use integrations within their rules
When using ChatGPT or Claude, also follow OpenAI's or Anthropic's applicable rules. We may restrict a function to keep it within an approved integration. Paid access must be obtained through a permitted purchase route.
5. What happens if there is a problem
We may investigate reports and information lawfully available to us. On the website, your PDFs and photos remain in your browser. In the ChatGPT file flow, our server deletes temporary processing files straight away after returning the result. Claude files are selected only inside our panel; the tools never read files uploaded to the Claude chat. The actual panel processing, recipients and retention are described in the Plugin Privacy Notice. We do not promise ongoing file review.
If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may ask you to stop the activity, restrict the affected function or suspend or end access. We will choose a response that matches the seriousness and risk. Where safe and lawful, we will give a reason and an opportunity to correct the problem. We may act immediately where needed to protect people, security or legal compliance.
Refunds, paid access and legal rights are governed by the Terms of Service and Subscription and Refund Terms. A report alone does not establish that a breach occurred.
6. Reports and reviews
Send a misuse report or a request to review a restriction to support@pagejoy.app. Explain what happened and include a relevant account or transaction reference if available. Avoid sending the underlying confidential file unless we ask for a necessary, safe sample. Do not send illegal material.
For a suspected security issue, use our Security page. A responsible report is not treated as misuse merely because it describes a weakness. Stay within the published reporting instructions and do not access another person's data.
