Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This page explains how to get help if you cannot use PageJoy because of an accessibility barrier. It describes our current accessibility information and the limits of the checks carried out.
1. Who this statement covers
PageJoy operates pagejoy.app. This statement covers our website, the website parts of PageJoy PDF, PageJoy Templates and PageJoy Photo, and the parts of our ChatGPT and Claude plugins that we provide.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Google and Apple provide their own interfaces. Contact us if a barrier in one of those interfaces prevents you from using our service. We will help identify the provider and consider what we can reasonably do ourselves.
2. Current accessibility information
We have not assessed accessibility conformance for the complete service and do not claim an independent assessment. Our checks use automated tools and desktop and phone-size browser views. They cover website pages, without a complete assessment of generated files, assistive technology on physical phones or the plugin experience.
The checks do not cover every physical device or assistive technology. We use WCAG 2.2 AA as a reference, without claiming that the complete service meets it.
We use the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference when assessing web accessibility. A reference to WCAG does not itself show that our service meets it.
3. Known barriers and planned work
Source files and exported PDFs may lack tags, reading order, image alternatives or accessible form labels. Contact us about any other barrier you encounter. We record the affected feature, who may be affected, any available alternative and the correction timing we can offer.
We record reported barriers, offer available alternatives and prioritise corrections after checking the affected task. We do not promise a correction date before assessing the problem. The person responsible for product accessibility keeps this information current and reviews it after a material interface change.
4. Documents and images
The accessibility of a file can depend on its original structure. Converting a photo to a PDF or making a scan searchable does not by itself give the PDF a correct reading order, headings, text alternatives or accessible form labels. Editing a file does not by itself certify that it meets an accessibility standard.
Generated files are not certified as accessible. Searchable text does not guarantee PDF tags, reading order, text alternatives or accessible forms.
5. Ask for help or report a barrier
Email support@pagejoy.app. Tell us which page or tool you were using, what you wanted to do, and what went wrong. If you can, include the browser, device and assistive technology you used. You do not have to disclose a medical diagnosis.
Tell us the format or adjustment that would help you. For example, you can ask for an explanation in a different format or help completing a step. We will consider reasonable adjustments. Where the law requires an adjustment, we will not charge you for it.
Do not send a sensitive file with your first message. We can discuss whether a sample is needed and how to share a safe version. PDFs and photos used on our website stay in your browser. Sending a file to support is a separate act and is covered by our Privacy Notice.
Our target to acknowledge an accessibility request is five working days. Our target to provide a substantive response is twenty working days, or an earlier deadline required by law. If a request needs more time, we will explain the next step and expected timing.
6. Accessibility law and your rights
The Equality Act 2010 imposes duties on service providers in Great Britain, including reasonable adjustments for disabled people. Sections 20 and 29 are relevant to those duties. Other laws can apply in Northern Ireland and in the country where you live.
The European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, applies through national laws to covered products and services, including consumer e-commerce services, from 28 June 2025. Its exemption for microenterprises providing services has specific conditions. It is not an exemption from every disability or accessibility law.
7. If we do not resolve your concern
Use our Contact and Complaints page or email support@pagejoy.app. State that your complaint concerns accessibility and explain the help you need.
Your complaint does not restrict any right to use a court, regulator or other lawful complaint route. The relevant accessibility enforcement contact for services within scope is the court or equality or accessibility authority competent for your country and issue; Contact and Complaints can help identify the applicable route.
