Start a PDF job

The supported file types and limits are Choose up to 30 PDFs, up to 30 MB each and 100 MB in total for PDF jobs.

Edit and mark up a document

You can edit text, add text and images, add comments and highlight text.

Some existing text cannot be edited safely. An add text on top option may be offered. This adds new text. It does not remove, replace or redact the original content.

Use real redaction when you need to remove information. A text overlay, highlight or watermark is not a redaction. Read Troubleshooting if an edit cannot be completed safely.

Put pages in the right order

You can combine PDFs, split a PDF and organise its pages. Page jobs include moving, rotating, deleting and inserting pages.

Check the page order and count in the result. For a split, check each finished file.

Fill in and sign your own PDF

You can fill in PDF forms and add your own signature.

PageJoy PDF does not send documents to other people for signature. Check the requirements of the person or organisation receiving your document before using a signature.

Redact and protect a PDF

You can redact information for real, add a watermark, add page numbers and protect a PDF with a password.

Use the redaction job to remove information. Check the finished file and that you selected everything you meant to remove.

You can unlock a PDF when you know its password. PageJoy PDF does not recover an unknown password or bypass it.

Change the file or its size

You can compress a PDF, turn images into a PDF and turn a PDF into images.

You can make scanned text searchable. Check the recognised text, especially names, numbers and unusual words, against the page image.

Compression results depend on the starting file and the options. Review the pages afterwards to see whether the result is suitable for your use.
